Prepare your certificates
2019-05-31 - ÅF Offshore Race
Tomorrow June 1, all competiing boats should have SRS-certificate for 2019 on the Swdish Sailing Federation website. ORCi measurement certificates should also be on the ORC's website for those who sail in ORCi class. In addition, it can be time to ensure that the boat's skipper has a valid racing license if the boat is sailing under swedish flag.
We are a few days away from last day to complete your entry to ÅF Offshore Race 2019. As mentioned in the Notice of Race, a valid SRS certificate shall be accessible at the Swedish Sailing Federation website no later than June 1st 2019. Boats also competing in ORCi shall have their ORCi certificate valid and online (www.orc.org) no later than June 1st 2019.
ORCi boats - as you might have noticed in the Notice of Race the ÅF Offshore Race Overall Trophy will be scored in the Swedish Rating System SRS. ORC International will have double scoring in Swedish Rating System (SRS) for the overall ÅF Offshore Race trophy. This means that you compete in ORCi in your class but also in SRS for the ÅF Offshore Race Overall Trophy. The Swedish Sailing Federation offers SRS certificates for free to our foreign guests with a valid ORCi, ORCclub, IRC, NOR-rating, DH or corresponding certificate. However, you must apply for the certificate yourself (http://matbrev.svensksegling.se/ ).
Additional information about the Swedish Rating System is available at (http://www.svensksegling.se/matbrevbatteknik/SRSinEnglish/ ).
Swedish competitors - The person in charge shall follow the rules for racing license as decided by the Swedish Sailing Federation. Competitors from other countries than Sweden are exempt from this requirement. http://www.svensksegling.se/Kappsegling/Omkappsegling/tavlingslicens/
